Wahoo App Splits Into Three Subscription Tiers, Adds 3DP Running Metric
Wahoo’s app already had a Pro subscription level for plans, workouts and video workout support. They’ve just introduced a cheaper subscription aimed at performance analytics and training insights.
Today, Wahoo restructured the Wahoo App into three subscription tiers, adding a $4.99-a-month Core tier between the free Base tier and the existing $17.99-a-month Pro plan. The change also brings new running features, including a 3DP pace profile and a new data integration with COROS.
Three tiers, one platform
Base remains free for compatible Wahoo hardware and covers device pairing, activity sync, route planning and live tracking. Core and Pro add paid features on top.
| Tier | Monthly | Annual | Adds |
|---|---|---|---|
| Base | Free | Free | Device pairing, activity sync, route planning, live tracking |
| Core | $4.99 / £4.99 | $49.99 / £49.99 | Training insights and trends, performance analytics, training load and fitness tracking |
| Pro | $17.99 / £14.99 | $179.99 / £149.99 | Full SYSTM library, daily workout recommendations, structured training plans, strength, mobility and recovery content |
The Pro price matches Wahoo’s existing SYSTM subscription rate. Core is the new middle tier, aimed at athletes who want deeper training analysis without the workout library and coaching content included with Pro.
3DP brings 4DP’s approach to running
Core and Pro subscribers get 3DP (Three-Dimensional Pace), a running profile built from Threshold Pace, Maximal Aerobic Pace and Anaerobic Capacity. Wahoo positions it as the running counterpart to 4DP, its four-metric cycling power profile covering FTP, MAP, Anaerobic Capacity and Neuromuscular Power.
3DP carries over three of those four dimensions but leaves out Neuromuscular Power, the explosive five-second effort metric used in 4DP.
A new integration also connects Wahoo App with COROS, allowing running activity data to be synced between the two platforms. Wahoo has not detailed which data fields are transferred in each direction or whether 3DP can be populated from COROS devices.
Pro tier keeps SYSTM exclusive
SYSTM, Wahoo’s library of strength, yoga, mobility, recovery and mental training sessions, remains behind the Pro paywall, along with daily workout recommendations and structured training plans. Core subscribers get the analytics without the guided workout content.

Yet another subscription
Wahoo is the latest major endurance platform to put more training analysis behind a subscription. Garmin introduced Garmin Connect+ in March 2025 at $6.99 a month or $69.99 a year, adding AI-generated insights, expanded LiveTrack and Garmin Coach content. Strava’s premium tier costs $11.99 a month or $79.99 a year and includes features such as segment leaderboards, Fitness & Freshness and full route building.
At $4.99 a month or $49.99 a year, Wahoo Core is cheaper than both. The difference is that it adds another subscription to the growing collection of services many athletes already use. Someone running a Wahoo bike computer, a Garmin or COROS watch and Strava could now be paying separately for several overlapping sets of training data and analysis.
