Profile Design has made an aerobar kit for Zwift Ride, and it comes with two Zwift Click controllers mounted at the ends of the extensions. That puts virtual shifting and in-game navigation under your fingertips when riding aero. The Zwift Ride Supersonic Aerobar costs £220, which isn’t cheap. It is on pre-order from Profile Design UK and ships from 7 November 2026.
Smart bikes have offered clip-on aerobars before. This is the first aerobar I have seen built around game controls, and it removes the biggest annoyance for triathletes who do their winter bike training on Zwift: until now, every gear change meant sitting up to reach the hoods.

Why Zwift Ride needed a new tray
Zwift Ride’s standard tray sits where aerobars want to clamp. Owners on the Zwift forum report removing the tablet holder to fit clip-ons, and Zwift’s own guidance warns against clamping aerobars over the Zwift Ride controllers’ charging cables because it can damage them.
Profile Design’s kit swaps in a new 50mm Zwift Tray that leaves room for the Supersonic bracket on the 31.8mm bar. It fits the frame, but it also means the kit only works with Zwift Ride.
Game controls in the aero position
Zwift Ride has no physical gears. Shifting is virtual and runs through the controllers on the hoods. The Click Holder puts a pair of Zwift Click controllers at the end of the extensions for shifting and navigation without moving the hands.
A triathlete can hold a 20-minute race-pace effort on the extensions, shift as the road rises, and navigate the game’s menus without breaking the position the session is meant to train. Regular time on the extensions indoors is the cheapest way to make a race position sustainable. Proper training!
Fit and adjustability
The Supersonic bracket is the top model in Profile Design’s bracket range. Here it is paired with Ergo+ armrests, which use a 124mm cradle that moves in 15mm steps for reach and 18.5mm steps for width. The 52A extensions bend through 52 degrees and rise 87mm from bottom to top, which gives a raised-hands position.
Profile Design chose aluminium throughout. Weight is irrelevant on an indoor bike, and aluminium keeps the price down and handles sweat dripping onto the front of a Zwift Ride.
Zwift Ride adjusts saddle height, tilt and fore-aft, plus bar height and reach, with the Zwift Key tool. The frame was designed around a road position, so check the saddle’s forward range before buying. A triathlon position normally moves the saddle further forward over the bottom bracket. Without that, the hips feel cramped on the extensions.
Who should buy it
Zwift Ride owners who race triathlon or time trials get a properly mounted aero position for £220. Road riders who never use an aero position gain nothing. Athletes who train on their own bike on a smart trainer, including Wahoo KICKR CORE owners, can already fit any clip-on aerobar to their own bars.
Other smart bikes still treat aerobars as an add-on with no controls at the extensions. Profile Design has shown how simple the fix can be, and the full details are on the Profile Design UK product page.

Quick answers
Does the Profile Design Zwift Ride aerobar fit other smart bikes?
It is built for Zwift Ride. The kit replaces the Zwift Ride tray with a 50mm Zwift Tray to make room for the bracket, and Profile Design sells it as an upgrade kit for that bike only.
What do the Zwift Click controllers do on the aerobars?
The two Zwift Click controllers sit at the end of the extensions and handle virtual shifting and in-game navigation, so the athlete can change gear without sitting up to reach the hood controllers.
How much is the Zwift Ride Supersonic Aerobar and when does it ship?
It costs £220 in the UK on pre-order from Profile Design UK, and shipping starts on 7 November 2026.
