The Apple Watch now gets ‘proper’ treadmill support via the NPE Runn treadmill sensor and accompanying WatchOS app – heartbeatz connect. Once paired with the sensor, you’re good to go with Apple Watch 2 or newer.
Using RUNN, the HEARTBEATZ CONNECT displays and records speed, pace, distance, incline, cadence and of course Heart Rate from the Apple Watch sensor.
What is RUNN? It’s a pretty awesome and super-accurate treadmill sensor that works on most treadmills and transmits all the key workout info direct to your Apple Watch (or Garmin). It was released in early 2020 handily helping many of us through CV19 restrictions on our running. You can find out LOTS MORE in this detailed review. There’s a short promo video below, from NPE, and some more images of the HEARTBEATZ app.
