Garmin has just announced its latest flagship golf smartwatch, the Approach S70, which is designed to enhance golfers’ on-the-course performance and overall fitness. The watches come in two different sizes and feature the same stunning AMOLED touchscreen displays that we will soon see on the Epix 2 Pro and which are super-bright and easy to read, even in bright sunlight. With over 43,000 preloaded golf courses from around the world, players can easily access detailed CourseView maps and get a comprehensive view of each hole.

One of the standout features of the Approach S70 series is the improved virtual caddie tool, which provides shot dispersion data and suggests the most suitable club based on various factors like historical swing data, elevation, wind speed, and direction. Additionally, the watches offer an enhanced PlaysLike Distance feature that incorporates an all-new built-in barometer for more accurate shot readings.

Battery life has been extended in the Approach S70 series, allowing golfers to play more rounds without needing to recharge. The watches can last up to 16 days in smartwatch mode and up to 20 hours when using GPS.

Apart from their golf-specific features, the Approach S70 watches offer a range of health and fitness functionalities. They come preloaded with activity profiles for strength training, HIIT, yoga, running, and more, enabling golfers to improve their flexibility and overall fitness.
