Stryd 5.0 Running Power Meter Back in Stock

Stryd 5.0 Duo vs 4.0 during testing in pairs on my adidas supershoes

Stryd 5.0 Back In Stock

Stryd 5 was launched in late 2025 and sold out relatively quickly.

Anyway, it’s now back in stock. Were you waiting to grab a pair, or had you already got one last year? I’d be interested in hearing about any upgrades in the comments below.

as you can see from the image above, I spent quite qa while testing a pair of 5.0’s last year. I wrote up the results, but never quite got around to updating my extensive Stryd Review.

Bottom line

  1. It’s a good product that gives accurate running pace across a range of paces and is likely the most accurate running power meter (unproven) because it has the most accurate inputs to its model
  2. The ecosystem is extensive, and the free part is all you need. Runners-only will get the most benefit
  3. Most people only need one pod
  4. if you’re very interested in gait analysis, then the decision to get two pods and go for the subscription comes into play
  5. Stryd is compatible with just about every running watch ecosystem

My favourite kit and nutrition

  • Injinji – Runners protect your toes. Avoid discomfort and minor injury. Run more. run faster. I use them.
  • Garmin 90-degree charging adapter — the small adapter that keeps your charging cable tidy at the stem. Essential for race day. I use one.
  • Garmin charging puck — the fastest and most reliable way to top up your Garmin before a session. I use one.
  • Ravemen FR300 — front light that mounts directly under your Garmin or Wahoo head unit. Keeps your bars clean and your beam pointed where it matters. I use one.
  • Body Glide – The Blue anti-chafe stick that all swimmers and many runners use. I use it.
  • Maurten — the race nutrition trusted by elite athletes. Gels and drink mix engineered to be easy on the stomach. I use them.
  • Garmin Varia RTL515 — radar rear light that alerts you to vehicles approaching from behind. Pairs with your Edge or Garmin watch. I use this model.
  • Favero Assioma Pro RS2 — the power meter pedals most serious cyclists end up choosing. Accurate, easy to move between bikes. I use this model.
