Garmin CIRQA launched today. This special edition pulls together everything published on site into a single reading list, so you do not have to hunt across several pieces and links to a podcast also adding in thoughts from dcrainmaker’s first look piece on his site.
The full specification sheet is on site: sensors, battery life, sizes, colours, button functions and LED behaviour. The sensor story is worth detailing separately: CIRQA uses Garmin’s Gen 4.1 Elevate sensor, which adds skin temperature but sits below the ECG-capable Gen 5 used in flagship devices and the Index Sleep Monitor. Thus, on cheaper Garmin hardware going forward, expect to see the older sensor for two or three more years.
CIRQA is the first Garmin device built explicitly around Connect+. The indoor and strength workout library arrives via that subscription.
The bicep wear option is confirmed and configurable per activity in Garmin Connect. The accuracy implications are examined on site.
The button and LED guide covers every function, it’s impressive that a single button and a multi-colour LED cover so many capabilities.
The editorial verdict is on site too: CIRQA is a Whoop annoyer, not the Whoop killer you will hear many media sites claiming it is. From the market perspective, three screenless bands have launched in fourteen months and each were called Whoop Killers. It’s still alive. CIRQA is a serious first attempt at a category Garmin has not owned before, priced sensibly at $199 against Whoop’s subscription model. The competition it creates is real. The threat to Whoop’s core customer is not.
Garmin CIRQA Specs: Full Specifications and Feature List: All You Need To Know

Every confirmed Garmin CIRQA specification in one place: sensors, battery, sizes, colours, button and LED functions, Connect+ features and what the band does not do.
Garmin CIRQA Is the First Device Built for Connect+

CIRQA gets the indoor and strength workout library through Connect+, but no outdoor workouts at all. The split is not arbitrary. Garmin has spent fifteen months building the phone-as-display infrastructure this device depends on.
Garmin CIRQA: A Whoop Annoyer, Not a Whoop Killer

Three screenless bands have launched in fourteen months and each was called a Whoop killer. None of them is. Together they close every cheap exit route around Whoop, but the product that would actually threaten it has not launched yet.
Garmin ELEVATE 4.1: two sensors going forward mean compromises on cheaper Garmins

The CIRQA uses Garmin’s Gen 4.1 sensor with skin temperature added. Garmin chose it over the newer Gen 5, which raises questions about sensor stratification, battery trade-offs, and what cheaper Garmins might carry next.
Garmin CIRQA Button and LED Guide: What Each Does

The CIRQA has one button and one multi-colour LED. This guide covers every button function and LED state, from activity recording and pairing mode to battery status and factory reset.
Garmin CIRQA Bicep Wear Confirmed: What It Means for Accuracy

The CIRQA supports upper arm wear as well as wrist wear, set per activity in Garmin Connect. Upper arm placement improves heart rate accuracy during intense exercise, keeps the module safe in contact sports, and strengthens ANT+ broadcasting.
