the5krunner insight: This is a decent update, worth installing for Live Tracking alone if you train on your own or in remote places.

The sleep view has been rebuilt around trends, sleep quality guidance, bedtime consistency and on-watch sleep editing. Wahoo — ELEMNT ACE / BOLT 3 / ROAM 3 — v302661 — 28 July 2026
the5krunner insight: This is relevant only to riders who own the Tymewear VitalPro, but for them it turns raw breathing data into live ventilation training zones on the head unit.
The update adds ventilation training zones that use data from the Tymewear VitalPro chest strap to judge effort by breathing rather than power or heart rate. Riders complete a threshold test through Tymewear, enter the values in the Wahoo app (version 6.89.0) and assign the zones to their cycling profiles. The feature reached the ELEMNT ACE, ELEMNT BOLT 3 and ELEMNT ROAM 3, and the underlying respiration data is written to the FIT file.
- Ventilation training zones show the current breathing-based effort zone with a colour-coded background (Tymewear VitalPro required).
- Additional data fields cover breathing rate, tidal volume, minute ventilation and time spent in each zone.
- The post-ride summary on the head unit shows the proportion of the session spent in each ventilation zone.
- Respiration data is written to the FIT file and can be sent to the Tymewear app for further analysis.
