Expert opinion
tfk describes KICKR MOVE as the most comfortable indoor trainer he has ridden, completing four and five hour sessions he had never previously managed without discomfort. It has no motor-assisted downhill simulation and does not report left and right power balance. A Direct Connect LAN adapter, a 12-speed XD/XDR adapter, and a KICKR CLIMB base unit adapter are all sold separately rather than included.

Versus KICKR (v6)
- Adds fore and aft plus side-to-side movement, lockable via a switch on the central leg
- Includes KICKR AXIS feet for additional lateral give
- Heavier and larger footprint than KICKR (v6) as a result of the movement mechanism
- Includes a carry handle, absent on cheaper KICKR models
- All other specifications, including power accuracy, maximum power, and connectivity, are unchanged from KICKR (v6)

| Weight | 29kg / 64lb, per the5krunner testing. Wahoo’s own published spec sheet states 22kg / 47lb, the same figure listed for the standard KICKR (v6); this looks like a copy-paste error in Wahoo’s materials given MOVE’s additional motion hardware, and is flagged here rather than silently resolved. |
