Suunto WatchFace Store

Suunto WatchFace Store

Exciting news from Suunto is expected later this month, which may include features related to the rumoured Suunto custom watch face store. However, I’m unsure if the custom watch face store will be released soon, as the rumours might have been confused with today’s app update, which allows users to select watch faces from the Suunto Plus store. So far, it appears to include only the standard Suunto faces.

In any case, you can now better manage Suunto watch faces through the app. The options are somewhat hidden, so here’s how to access them:

Smartphone Suunto App

In the Suunto app click on the watch icon in the top left-hand corner then swipe down until you find the SuuntoPlus watch faces

There are currently about 20 faces to choose from and you can install up to 9 on your watch.

Tap any of the faces to see a larger image and more details. then either install or uninstall it.

Take Out

SuuntoPlus is progressing nicely. This must surely be the first step before 3rd parties are allowed to add their faces to the store. It will be interesting to see how Suunto does this, when the company introduced apps they made it very easy for developers to create them, let’s hope the same approach is followed with faces.

My favourite kit and nutrition

  • Maurten — the race nutrition trusted by elite athletes. Gels and drink mix engineered to be easy on the stomach.
  • Garmin 90-degree charging adapter — the small adapter that keeps your charging cable tidy at the stem. Essential for race day.
  • Garmin charging puck — the fastest and most reliable way to top up your Garmin before a session.
  • Ravemen FR300 — front light that mounts directly under your Garmin or Wahoo head unit. Keeps your bars clean and your beam pointed where it matters.
  • Garmin Varia RTL515 — radar rear light that alerts you to vehicles approaching from behind. Pairs with your Edge or Garmin watch.
  • Stryd — the footpod that brings running power to your Garmin. The single most useful running upgrade I have made.
  • Favero Assioma Pro RS2 — the power meter pedals most serious cyclists end up choosing. Accurate, easy to move between bikes.
