Garmin Fenix 7 / Epix 2 – new software features for Q3.2024
Garmin is now on a quarterly cycle when adding new features to our watches. The latest beta releases have just been released for Quarter 3. I expect a few more things to be added that are not documented here, we will see more goodies on Fenix 8, Fenix E and perhaps other watches released in the next few months. Watch this space for early news on those!
Garmin charging puck — the fastest and most reliable way to top up your Garmin before a session. I use one.
Ravemen FR300 — front light that mounts directly under your Garmin or Wahoo head unit. Keeps your bars clean and your beam pointed where it matters. I use one.
Body Glide – The Blue anti-chafe stick that all swimmers and many runners use. I use it.
Maurten — the race nutrition trusted by elite athletes. Gels and drink mix engineered to be easy on the stomach. I use them.
Garmin Varia RTL515 — radar rear light that alerts you to vehicles approaching from behind. Pairs with your Edge or Garmin watch. I use this model.
Favero Assioma Pro RS2 — the power meter pedals most serious cyclists end up choosing. Accurate, easy to move between bikes. I use this model.

And many regression with it, this is awful how Garmin push Beta version with regression.
We are not Alpha tester, even past beta phase reported bugs taht were not fixed before 17.xx Live release are always present ………. !
Comparing to Coros and Suunto, i exchange with my mates and they do not encounter huge bugs and regression.
— for example
Garmin change something in map rendering and many maps encounter some sort of regression
I suspect you are an alpha tester 😉
It would be interesting to know exactly what testing is done inside of Garmin over and above the code-level testing that the devs undertake.
Gibt’s schon was über die garmin 975 oder wann sie kommen könnte?
I dont expect that until 2025.
Maybe a SMALLER high end tri model this year eg 765/755
