There’s more though. A new Body Temp screen automatically appears on the watch showing a rolling 10-minute track of temperature (it just so happens to be a horizontal line) with an average and max also shown.
Then in the workout summary, you get the same stats.
constant Temp for 10 minutes!
Post workout Stats
It’s all piped up to Polar Flow but all I could find on the web was ‘temperature’. And I assume that refers to room or ambient temperature as the data was completely different.
However, on the Polar FlowiOS app, there were some new data points which will probably look more exciting with some proper workout data in them! Today is my day off as I did a LOT of riding over the weekend and I can hardly move so getting that data in is a job for tomorrow, or the next day
Garmin charging puck — the fastest and most reliable way to top up your Garmin before a session. I use one.
Ravemen FR300 — Front light that mounts directly under your Garmin or Wahoo head unit. Keeps your bars clean and your beam pointed where it matters. I use one.
Body Glide – The blue anti-chafe stick that all swimmers and many runners use. I use it.
Maurten — The race nutrition trusted by elite athletes. Gels and drink mixes engineered to be easy on the stomach. I use them.
Garmin Varia RTL515 — A radar rear light that alerts you to vehicles approaching from behind. Pairs with your Edge or Garmin watch. I use this model.
Favero Assioma Pro RS2 — The power-meter pedals most serious cyclists choose. Accurate, easy to move between bikes. I use this model.
Garmin Forerunner 970 — A serious choice for a pro-grade triathlon watch. I use this.
Polar H10 — My daily driver for accurate, waking HRV readings.
Wahoo ELEMNT Roam 3 — The bike computer that has the feature Garmin lacks: usability. I use mine on most rides.

Would this mean that the CORE body temperature sensor will soon be usable with Polar watches as well?
I believe it transmits data using the same Bluetooth Health Thermometer Profile…
Funnily enough I treid that last night and have asked the question.
the CORE sensor *DOES* as of now pair to the Grit X2. I’ve not played with it much more than that but the new screens that appear for the Sennheiser do *NOT* seem to appear for the CORE in all profiles.
the new temperature icon only appears on certain profiles and i haven’t investigated that further
Sounds encouraging!
I have a Vantage V3 which didn’t recognise the CORE sensor at all when I tried pairing it a few weeks ago.
I’ll give it another shot after the April 3rd update…
ok CORE does only work on X2 pro. not V3 or V2 or anything else AFAIK
Polar has said, as you suspect, that the Sennheiser and Core both follow the same BLE TEMP standard and any product that follows them will behave identically. The extra screens DO show for core on X2 PRO.
Wonderful news!
I’m guessing the Vantage V3 will be brought to an equivalent firmware to the Grit X2 Pro on April 3rd and thus gain similar CORE compatibility…
Many thanks for the update!

It looks like it’s a feature linked to FW2.X
v3: FW1.3.5
X2 Pro: FW 2.0.18

Polar watches so v2, grit pro v1 also?
i’d guess NO, but who knows really? could go either way
Ah, shame Polar is so behind competition on term of updating their 2-3 year old watches… Suunto can update even suunto 9 released on vantage v1 era
