Expert opinion
Opinion to follow once the5krunner has tested the watch. Based on the specification:
The Pace 4 Pro is the premium tier of the Pace line. It keeps the thin, light Pace chassis but rebuilds it in a titanium bezel and sapphire, and fits the largest, brightest screen COROS has made, a 1.47 inch AMOLED reaching 3,500 nits. Storage is 32GB and the RAM doubles against the Pace 4, so the offline maps both watches now carry render faster here. Multi-band GNSS, the full sport profile list and the deep EvoLab data set all carry over. Against the money, the compromises are the ones common to the range rather than to this watch: no on-watch route recalculation, no streaming music, no NFC contactless payment, and Bluetooth-only sensors that leave out ANT+ power meters. It reads as Apex-level capability in a running-watch body, at a price that now overlaps the mountain range.
What’s new versus the Pace 4
Hardware
- Larger 1.47 inch LTPO AMOLED at 466 x 466 pixels and 3,500 nits, with an adaptive 1Hz to 60Hz refresh rate, up from the Pace 4’s 1.2 inch 390 x 390 panel
- TC4 titanium alloy bezel, replacing the Pace 4’s polymer bezel
- Sapphire glass lens, replacing mineral glass
- Built-in speaker added alongside the microphone, for spoken alerts and hands-free calls
- Flashlight feature added
- ECG sensor added
- Twice the RAM of the Pace 4, for faster map rendering
- Storage raised from 4GB to 32GB
- Offline global maps. The Pace 4 launched with breadcrumb navigation and gained maps by software update in September 2026
- Battery in High rises from 41 to 60 hours, and in Max from 31 to 40 hours
- Charging time about 1.5 hours
- 43g with the nylon band against the Pace 4’s 32g
Software
- Turn-by-turn navigation on global maps with street and trail names and points of interest
- Spoken activity alerts through the speaker
- AllTrails route sync, alongside Strava and Komoot
