OneOdio A10 Focus Review: ANC Headphone | Room for Improvement

OneOdio A10 Focus ReviewOneOdio A10 Focus Review: A Budget ANC Headphone with Room for Improvement

The OneOdio A10 Focus offers a sleek and modern design that holds its own against more expensive models, here’s a quick review. The aesthetics are good and suggest a product more expensive than its $79.99 price tag suggests. The build quality, although expected from its price point, is decent but I wasn’t wowed by the sound clarity.

Don’t get this confused with the older A10 model, the A10 Focus is an updated version and the one you want to get.

Final Verdict

The OneOdio A10 Focus finds its strengths in its design and battery life but struggles with audio quality. At its price, some compromises are expected, but potential buyers need to think if they want audio quality or features

Price: $80, GBP70, Eur80

Pros

  • Modern design
  • Connects to two devices simultaneously
  • Great battery life
  • ANC works
  • Nice to have a Jack connector option
  • USB-C charge port

Cons

  • Passive noise isolation needs improvement
  • Too bassy
  • No equalizer app and basic instructions

Comfort

The ear cups are nicely padded, less so the headband but it was alright. The headband has joints that give a good fit to a wide range of head shapes and sizes.

Sound Quality

The sound profile is unbalanced and seems to struggle particularly with the bass. It gives a decent level of separation, allowing you to easily distinguish individual instruments but overall it lacks clarity in the finer audio details…at these low prices, that’s probably OK.

Features

ANC at this price point is a good selling point but I would describe it in use as acceptable, outside the headphones, like many others, suffer from wind noise. The microphone isn’t great either.

Bluetooth 5.2 is the newest and probably explains the battery life improvements over the earlier version. Turn off the ANC and the Bluetooth battery life goes from 40 to 50 hours!

  • Battery: 800mAh

  • Bluetooth Range: 10m
  • Noise Reduction Depth: -35dB
  • Driver Diameter: 40mm
  • Frequency Range: 20Hz – 40kHz
  • Weight: 295g

My favourite kit and nutrition

  • Injinji – Runners protect your toes. Avoid discomfort and minor injury. Run more. Run faster. I use them.
  • Garmin 90-degree charging adapter — The small adapter that keeps your charging cables tidy. Essential for race day. I use one.
  • Garmin charging puck — the fastest and most reliable way to top up your Garmin before a session. I use one.
  • Ravemen FR300 — Front light that mounts directly under your Garmin or Wahoo head unit. Keeps your bars clean and your beam pointed where it matters. I use one.
  • Body Glide – The blue anti-chafe stick that all swimmers and many runners use. I use it.
  • Maurten — The race nutrition trusted by elite athletes. Gels and drink mixes engineered to be easy on the stomach. I use them.
  • Garmin Varia RTL515 — A radar rear light that alerts you to vehicles approaching from behind. Pairs with your Edge or Garmin watch. I use this model.
  • Favero Assioma Pro RS2 — The power-meter pedals most serious cyclists choose. Accurate, easy to move between bikes. I use this model.
  • Garmin Forerunner 970 — A serious choice for a pro-grade triathlon watch. I use this.
  • Polar H10 — My daily driver for accurate, waking HRV readings.
  • Wahoo ELEMNT Roam 3 — The bike computer that has the feature Garmin lacks: usability. I use mine on most rides.
