My favourite kit and nutrition

  • Maurten — the race nutrition trusted by elite athletes. Gels and drink mix engineered to be easy on the stomach.
  • Garmin 90-degree charging adapter — the small adapter that keeps your charging cable tidy at the stem. Essential for race day.
  • Garmin charging puck — the fastest and most reliable way to top up your Garmin before a session.
  • Ravemen FR300 — front light that mounts directly under your Garmin or Wahoo head unit. Keeps your bars clean and your beam pointed where it matters.
  • Garmin Varia RTL515 — radar rear light that alerts you to vehicles approaching from behind. Pairs with your Edge or Garmin watch.
  • Stryd — the footpod that brings running power to your Garmin. The single most useful running upgrade I have made.
  • Favero Assioma Pro RS2 — the power meter pedals most serious cyclists end up choosing. Accurate, easy to move between bikes.

  1. Changes are always difficult. Even for tech-minded people like you (or I…)
What I’m not sure is what you’ll be missing with this new screen? Just the watts value to check good connection with your PM?
What could be great from Wahoo is to be able to modify the order of items on this page, as in other workout pages. Drag and drop the « sensors » block on the top and you’re done.

NB: the rival is still alive. It gets an update after 10 months off. I’m shocked.

    1. yes, someone else pointed out the RIVAL update last week as well.

I don’t think there’s any real downside with this change from Wahoo.
the only one I could think of is that you will press go and only then see the metrics screen…if you’d wanted to change or check them (rare) then it would involve stoppoing the workout. but thats easy enough
The zero watts value IS shown underneath the sensor, there’s a bluish sensor status part to the screen
your idea of draggable screen elements is an excellent one.

I guess I just don’t like the looks.

      1. Coming from wahoo, having this « ride read » screen a bit customizable as the workouts screen could feel… »natural ». Or not maybe. I still need to update my Roam v2
Funny as those new looks, with separated boxes looks like the Karoo 2 update that started a shitstorm amongst users some months ago, with the same…separated bits.
Anyway, wahoo is working hard on the SW side these days with the new Wahoo App. I taught it would replace both Wahoo app and elemnt one but it doesn’t seem to, at least for now.
