Garmin Fenix 9: CEO Signals H2 2026 Launch
Garmin’s CEO just signalled a Fenix 9 for late 2026 — and if you know how to read an earnings call, the message couldn’t be clearer.
CEO Cliff Pemble set the stage by saying he expects “full year growth in outdoor to accelerate in 2026 compared to 2025, driven by a significant number of new product introductions,” and added: “We also expect stronger performance in the back half of the year due to the timing of product launches.”
Something big is coming to the outdoors division. That can only be the Fenix. Morgan Stanley analyst Eric Woodring pushed directly: “You’re maybe messaging a Fenix launch, or if maybe you’re expecting to launch all new models in this segment.”

Pemble neither confirmed nor denied the product details but doubled down on the importance of what is to come: “The only thing that we would like people to know is that we do have a very active year plan for outdoor, and I would expect that many of our launches would occur in the back half of the year. Which is why I commented that we expect revenue to be stronger in the back half.”
Pemble knew exactly what he was implying. This is a CEO skirting around market-sensitive information as carefully as possible while ensuring the message lands. He wants us to know something big is planned.
This confirms what we’ve been saying on this site since early 2025: Garmin has moved to annual flagship refreshes. The Fenix 9 will arrive in 2026, not January 2027 as suggested elsewhere.
The Fenix 8 launched in August 2024. The Fenix 8 Pro followed in September 2025. A Fenix 9 arriving in H2 2026 — say, August or September — maintains a consistent 12-month cadence on the flagship cycle.
There is further context. Outdoor revenue was flat in Q4 2025 and grew only 5% for the full year — underwhelming against the 33% fitness growth. The segment has the highest operating margin in the company at 66% gross. A compelling Fenix 9 launch in H2 2026 would simultaneously address the growth gap, maintain the premium margin, and reassure the market that the outdoor franchise is not structurally slowing.
Take Out – Fenix 9 Is Coming
For buyers, the practical implication is clear: if you are considering a Fenix 8 Pro or Fenix 8 Pro MicroLED purchase today, you are likely within months of a new flagship. Whether to wait is a personal call — but the signal from this earnings call is about as strong as Garmin ever gives.

But will it be affordable is the question and what will set it apart from the 7 and 8
Another article here today shows that Garmin is not hiking average sale prices. so maybe, unexpectedly, that means no price rises for F9.
I wonder if this means I will be able to get a good deal on an Enduro 3 or Fenix 8 MIP if I wait a few months.
I saw on another post that the Descent Mk4i is slated for a release, probably timed around DEMA in October. Im excited for this one. Gotta start adding some extra money to the piggy bank this year.
Hopefully they will introduce something new in MIP department or perhaps some kind of hybrid Fenix cause I couldn’t care less about yet another AMOLED watch, they’re so boring.
Con que no hagan otro refrito engañando a la gente ya va bien
it’s likely going to be evolution not revolution. so it will be similar.
Unless the 9 comes with a brand new Elevate sensor that has the potential to detect certain bio markers or do a blood pressure “estimate”, I don’t know what new and interesting features a 9 could bring to the table.
i’m struggling too!
but as sure as night follows day it will come.
